Sara is used to being known as the shy one. She's used to being bullied at school. But when she's sick with the flu one day and drifts off to sleep, she dreams of a world where she is a gutsy and assertive princess who can do anything she sets her mind to.
In her dream, Princess Sara disobeys her uncle's wishes and leaves to help Nicholas, a knight who has been tasked with conquering a dragon that is terrorizing the kingdom. Together, the two heroes brave many dangerous challenges and encounter multiple obstacles, with the help of their friendship and the advice of a wise wizard.

The swirl of colours, scenery, action and the unfolding of this gripping story of adventure, love, fear, courage and magic had me hooked until the final happy ending. A wonderful and rare aspect of this story was the powerful presence of a brave, strong Princess Sara. I could see this story developed into a major motion picture!
This novel captures Medieval gallantry superbly. There is never a dull moment in the adventures of Sara, Nicholas and The Last Dragon. Every minute is filled with challenges, dangers to overcome and hardships to endure. Kathleen captures the sincere emotions of the relationships between the characters and makes believable the trust and the building friendships between them. As well as love and friendship, she explores fear, anger, sadness, frustration and loneliness and vividly resolves each issue brilliantly. This book is a must read and it will transport you to a world of Medieval bravery and tenderness.
